It has probably crept into the text through the oversight of a transcriber, unless we suppose, with the 合讲, that the repetition indicates the firmness and decision with which the gift is refused, but the introduction of that element seems out of place. 曰, 其 (referring to 尊者) 所 (所以) 取之,—曰 isthe reflection passing in the mind, as in the next par. also. We must suppose 人 as the nominative in 以是为不恭.
